Builders / Contractors
Your business depends on contractors with the
expertise and experience to deliever what you need, when you need
it!
As a builder today, you face new challenges
that didn't exist when conventional insulation was developed.
Consumers are changing their purchasing decisions because they are
aware that the choices they make will impact energy consumption,
energy savings, and indoor environmental quality. They are also
changing the way they think about insulation.
New programs and incentives have been developed
that reward homeowners who reduce the impact on energy reserves and
our environment. As a result, they are looking for insulation and
other building materials that will help them achieve a healthier
and more energy efficient living environment.
Insulating with Icynene® will make YOU the builder of choice because it is a proven insulation that delivers all the benefits your clients demand. Icynene® is a sustainable insulation and air barrier system that allows your clients to save money on monthly utility bills and maintenance expenses, provide better indoor air quality and gain a sense of well-being in knowing that their home has a reduced impact on our environment.
Used in over 100,000 building projects, Icynene® has a proven track record for delivering profitable, high-performance solutions that give Builders a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Why Spray Foam Insulation?
There is no better home insulating material that can seal your home from air and moisture intrusion, save on costly utility bills, strengthen your home, and protect your family’s health from dangerous mold, airborne pollutants, and allergens than Spray Foam insulation.
Spray Foam Insulation Redefines Traditonal Construction Methods and Benefits Modern Building Sciences and Energy Efficient Green Building Initiatives
Read all about how spray foam used in the Building Envelope outperforms fiberglass insulation, becomes a superior air abrrier, and defies traditional, and perhaps, outdated building practices of attic and crawl space ventilation.
What is Spray Polyurethane Foam?
SPF or
spray polyurethane foam describes a category of high-performance
spray foam insulation and air barrier material that delivers
multiple benefits in one application. These advantages include high
insulation values, near-zero air permeability, increased building
strength, severe weather and flood resistance, increased occupant
comfort, improved indoor air quality, reduced operating costs and
lower environmental impacts.

Because spray polyurethane foam is fully adhering and seals
hard-to-reach penetrations, it provides unequaled air sealing
properties for the entire building envelope. Reduced uncontrolled
air leakage results in lower utility bills and reduced greenhouse
gas emissions.
In fact, ENERGY
STAR® reports that air leakage
accounts for 25 - 40% of the energy used for heating and cooling a
typical home. They estimate that a homeowner can save up to 20% on
heating and cooling costs by proper sealing and insulating. SPF can
go far in helping both home and commercial building owners achieve
these savings.
BASF spray polyurethane foam products use zero-ozone-depleting
blowing agents and emit no VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
Moreover, the insulating air barriers also prevent outdoor
allergens and pollutants from entering into homes providing
improved indoor air quality. And due to their high R-value range
and air barrier/infiltration characteristics, closed cell SPF
like COMFORT
FOAM®, SPRAYTITE® and WALLTITE® have the lowest overall
environmental impact in energy use, resource consumption, air
emissions and land use..
BASF manufactures both closed cell and open cell spray polyurethane
foam products for residential and commercial construction,
providing the right SPF system for any type of well-engineered
building envelope. The BASF two component application process
features a wide range of specially formulated polyurethane spray
foam offerings that meet specific site and surface
requirements.
Additionally, BASF also offers a number of waterproofing or
damp-proof coating materials resulting in high performance,
durable BASF SPF Roofing Systems for any climate that
stand the test of time.
Due to the technical skill required, these systems must only be
applied by trained contractors within BASF's approved
applicator network.
